Group Strength Training Classes in East Vancouver
Looking for group fitness classes in East Vancouver? Coast Athletics runs small-group strength training sessions (max 10 people) at East Van Barbell in Hastings-Sunrise. These aren't typical bootcamp classes - we focus on building real strength with barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells and bodyweight movements in a supportive, non-intimidating environment. A great addition to add to your weekly fitness routine.
Cost for the class is $25 (First class is free)

What to Expect in Your First Class
Classes are 60 minutes: 10-min warm-up, 45-min strength work, 5-min cool-down
We scale every exercise to your level (whether you're brand new or experienced)
Max 8-10 people per class means you get real coaching, not just a follow the screen workout
You don't need experience - we teach proper form from day one
Classes run Sunday mornings at East Van Barbell gym in East Vancouver

No. We can scale every exercise to your current level and modify if you are dealing with any injuries.

We have yet to make an online booking system, so if you are interested in joining, reach out via email and I can add you to the google calendar invite each week!

Neither. We focus on functional strength training. No olympic lifting knowledge required and no endless amount of burpees. Just foundational strength movements and occasionally a cardio finisher at the end.

East Van barbell is located at 1356 E Frances Street in East Vancouver. Just between Clark and Commercial Drive. Close to all the breweries for a hoppy IPA after the workout or Earnest Ice Cream if that’s more your cup of tea.
